St. Louis Public Library Foundation Receives $30,000 for After School Programs
St. Louis Public Library one of 11 organizations nationwide recognized by MetLife Foundation
ST. LOUIS – Today, the Met Life Foundation awarded a grant of $30,000 to the St. Louis Public Library Foundation from its 2010 Out-of-School Time Initiative, which supports after-school and summer programs that address the unique needs and interests of middle school youth. The grant was announced by Rick Simoncelli, president of the St. Louis Public Library Foundation.
The 11 grants, ranging from $30,000 to $50,000 and totaling $500,000, were awarded to nonprofits serving youth in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York City, Providence, R.I., and St. Louis. The St. Louis Public Library Foundation is the only St. Louis organization awarded funds.12/22/2010
