St. Louis, MO . . . The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present an evening featuring the sultry Latin sounds of guitar virtuoso Javier Mendoza. The performance takes place at Central Library, 1301 Olive Street, on Monday, September 10 at 7 p.m. The program is FREE and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Always the master-entertainer, singer, songwriter, guitarist, and storyteller Javier Mendoza brings out his culture through acoustic pop-rock music. Mendoza’s voice is as engaging as his expressive guitar playing. Singing in both English and Spanish, he blends his Spanish roots with classic and modern rock to deliver a unique world sound that effortlessly takes hold of the listener’s soul.

Javier Mendoza has performed with legendary artists including Ben Folds, Blues Traveler, Chuck Berry, The Corrs, Duran Duran, Jars of Clay, Six Pence None the Richer, Willie Nelson, and Ziggy Marley.

Among his many accomplishments, Mendoza was voted as the “Best Pop,” ”Best World,” and ”Best Latin” artist in St. Louis 2000-06; was nominated for “Best Male Vocalist” at the 2006 International Online Music Awards; and had several of his songs featured on MTV’s The Real World.
