Harry & the Potters Concert @ Central

St. Louis, MO . . . The St. Louis Public Library invites everyone to turn up the volume and enjoy a Wizard Rock concert starring independent punk rockers Harry and the Potters and featuring special guests Draco and the Malfoys. The concert takes place on Monday, July 30 from 6-8:30 p.m. on the front steps of Central Library, 1301 Olive Street. The concert is FREE and open to the public.

Harry and the Potters is an indie rock band that plays catchy tunes about Harry Potter’s life. Currently, they are in the midst of a whirlwind tour. This summer they will entertain fans in Harry’s homeland, England, playing venues in cities including Manchester, Liverpool, Exeter, Lancaster, and, of course, London. On this side of the pond, Harry and Potters will share their wizardly musical talents to adoring fans in cities such as New York, Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. And for the launch of the final Harry Potter book, they’ll play in Harvard Square.

Harry and the Potters was formed in 2002 by Paul and Joe DeGeorge, brothers from Norwood, Massachusetts. With both brothers bearing a striking resemblance to Harry Potter, Joe (on guitar) became Harry, year 4; and Paul (on keyboards) became Harry, year 7. Thus was born Harry and the Potters.

Draco and the Malfoys are the project of Rhode Island brothers Brian Ross and Bradley Mehlenbacher. They sing songs from the perspective of Harry’s school-age antagonist, Draco Malfoy.

As Paul says, “Even Voldemort can’t stop rock and roll!”
