Authors @ Your Library - June 2007
St. Louis, MO . . . The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present two booksignings and discussions in June. The first features Beverly Jenkins at the Julia Davis Branch, 4515 Natural Bridge Ave., on June 2 at 2 p.m. The second event features Kimberley Crouch and takes place at the Walnut Park Branch, 5760 W. Florissant Ave., on June 13 at 5:30 p.m. Both programs are FREE and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Beverly Jenkins will discuss her newest romantic novel, Wild Sweet Love. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, People, and Vibe magazine. She speaks widely on romance and 19th-century African-American history at libraries, schools, and organizations including the Romance Writers of America and the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society.
Kimberley Crouch will discuss her book Mother to Son: Words of Wisdom, Inspiration, and Hope for Today’s Young African-American Men. Through a beautifully scripted, heartfelt collection of letters, the author offers candid advice for her sons on the issues they may face—from racism to self-recognition. Although written by a mother to her sons, the book provides timeless wisdom for all.
