To exhibit a creative spark, design a miniature dolls house with your own distinctive style. You may choose a certain period of art or building design for your house. Projects require careful assembly, but a finished miniature dollshouse become a valuable, marketable product or family heirloom.

It is amazing to think that craftspeople can make everything on a scale of 1/12th, from an Art Deco vase, to miniature-scaled works of art to blooming gardens. Special techniques, such as trompe l'oeil, add a three-dimensional look and feel. More about trompe l'oeil.

To complete a house, craftsmen painstakingly create just the right furnishing--music stands, pianos, lamps, sit on tables and chairs. Miniature books fill the library, while kitchens cabinets have dishes and groceries. Add the miniature dolls and the dollhouse becomes a dream miniature home.
