Kleypas continues her stories of the Travis family with this story of Jack Travis, the middle son. When Ella Varner storms into his office wanting a DNA test to see if he is the father of her newborn nephew, he is intrigued.
Ella had distanced herself from her narcissistic mother and her beautiful, but very needy younger sister, to save her sanity. Now her sister has abandoned her newborn at mom's and checked into a mental health facility for a three month stay. Ella reluctantly rescues baby Luke from her crazy mother. She is determined to find out who the father of the baby is and make him provide support. When she learns that Jack Travis is one of the men her sister had dated, she starts with him.

Part of Carr's continuing Virgin River series, this book starts with a newly-retired army helicopter pilot returning to the area to work on some property he purchased with his brother. Luke's plan is to rehab the house and six cabins on the forested land and then sell them for a profit.
Shelby has just arrived in the area to stay with her uncle and cousins after the death of her mother. She spent most of her late teens and early twenties caring for her terminally ill mother until her death. Now, at twenty-five, she is ready to travel and go to school.
Shelby and Luke are instantly attracted to each other, but he tries to not get involved because at 38, he feels he is way too old and way to experienced for such a sheltered young woman. She begs to differ.
Many of the familiar characters from previous book appear as Carr continues the story of this special small town. Fans of Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series will love the Virgin River books.

After a night of partying in Las Vegas, former child star Georgie York wakes up married to and in bed with Bram Shepard. He was her co-star in a popular sit-com, her first crush, and now, a despised advisary. Because they both need some good publicity, they decide to stay married and "make nice" in public.
These two have some very hard issues and old hurts that must be overcome to survive this fake marriage. Added to the mix are a cast of relatives, friends, and enemies to keep things lively and agitated. More sarcastic than some of this author's other titles.
