Angel's peak
Robyn Carr.
Don Mills, Ont. : Mira, c2010.

Sean Riordan is stunned to see Franci Duncan, a woman he dated seriously several years ago.  He is visiting his brother's family and never expected to run into her in Northern California.  She is not happy to see him and brushes him off.  Sean left when Franci wanted to get serious and he was not ready.  What he doesn't know is that Franci was pregnant and his statements about not getting serious made her decide to have her child on her own.

Robyn Carr continues her popular "Virgin River" series with this tale of a man who has to grow up and a woman who has to learn to trust him again.  Several of the regular characters from the town show up and Sean's mother, a long-time widow, has a chance at romance that sends her into a tailspin.

Nice girls don't date dead men
Molly Harper.
New York : Pocket Star Books, 2009.
This second book of the series continues the story of Jane Jameson, former children's librarian, who was turned into a vampire to save her life after she was accidently shot by a drunken deer hunter.  In this episode, her relationship with Gabriel, her sire and new boyfriend, continues to grow, but he is being less than open about where and why he has been taking so many out-of-town business trips.  She is also dealing with the wedding of her best friend, Zeb, who is engaged to a werewolf.  Zeb is acting very strangely and his mother has made no secret of the fact that she would rather he marry Jane.  The humor and wit make this series one of the fun paranormals, so if you love romantic comedy, you will like this book.
