Blues asking fans to donate or loan memorabilia for display. St. Louis Public Library to become official archival home of the Blues.

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the franchise, the St. Louis Blues have partnered with the St. Louis Public Library (SLPL) to display "50 Years of Blood, Sweat, and Cheers - A Tribute to the St. Louis Blues and their Fans" presented by Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The exhibit, which will celebrate the rich history of the Blues franchise, will be on public display from Dec. 5, 2016 until Mar. 4, 2017, at SLPL's Central Library, 1301 Olive Street.

To support the exhibit, the Blues and St. Louis Public Library are asking fans to get involved by donating or loaning their memorabilia to be on display. From Oct. 11 until Nov. 4, Blues fans can drop off items Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Library's Administration Office, 1415 Olive St. Fans wishing to simply loan memorabilia will be able to fill out a temporary custody form upon drop off. At the conclusion of the exhibit, those fans will be contacted to pick up their valuables from the administration office.

Following the closure of the Blues exhibit, Central Library will become the official archival home of the St. Louis Blues. Under the new partnership, St. Louis Public Library will archive select fan foundations and team items such as printed materials, photos, programs, rosters, contracts and records, as well as team issued jerseys, pucks and sticks. The public will be able to view the Blues archives by making an appointment at Central Library.
